Press Release: CEO Award Winners Announced
On the evening of Tuesday 24 May, Association for Consultancy and Engineering [ACE] recognised a wide range of remarkable companies, large and small, at its prestigious Consultancy and Engineering Awards ceremony held in London and attended by business leaders from across the industry.
The awards celebrate the best of the UK’s consultancy and engineering profession and showcase the remarkable work of ACE members and supporters across a variety of specialisms. 2016 also saw the introduction of new category awards to reflect the growing need to recognise the wider partnerships and collaborations that are involved in moving business practices forward in an ever changing environment.
Individual achievements were also recognised with awards for Apprentice of the Year, Young Professional and Ambassador of the Year which this year was presented to Terry Morgan CBE, Chairman of Crossrail.
Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, chief executive of ACE said:
“I would like to congratulate everybody recognised for their achievements at the Consultancy and Engineering Awards tonight. Once again the standard of entries was extremely high and dominated by individuals, companies and partnerships that showcased the ingenuity and innovation of UK engineering companies and the amazing inventiveness shown by their teams in delivering solutions to complex and ambitious projects.
All our winners are outstanding examples of excellence in the industry. More importantly the evening recognised the people who sit at the heart of our organisations, each and every one playing their part to deliver work of the highest standard.”
Chair of Judges Mike Brown MVO, Commissioner at Transport for London commented:
“I was extremely pleased to have been invited to chair a most distinguished judging panel for this year’s awards representing a truly broad range of clients, stakeholders, media and academics from across our industry.
The awards attracted over 140 entries which presented a challenge in itself. In categories where it was particularly difficult to identify a clear winner, the runner-up has been highly commended. It was also decided to honour Atkins with a Special Recognition Award to acknowledge their modern and flexible work practices and their nurturing of young talent keeping them ahead of the curve.”
