Award Categories

 

The Awards are judged by a panel of experts and review all aspects of business operations, achievements and engagement.

1) CEO of the Year Award

The Award recognises an excellent ambassador for the profession as the overall best performer across all 5 criteria. It recognises exceptional all-around leadership of a consultancy and engineering business.

Candidates will be assessed on:

  • Companies’ financial performance
  • Skills of innovation and creativity within the business
  • Demonstration of leadership qualities
  • Contribution to the wider industry and society
  • Wider achievements and industry recognition

Criteria 

  • To enter this Award, the candidate must have been in his role for a period of at least one year.
  • The ‘CEO of the Year’ category is awarded to three sizes of company, small (0-50 employees), medium (51-750 employees) and large (751+ employees) so please select the appropriate category for your entry.

We are aware that there is variation in titles and operational structures across the EU. The ‘CEO of the Year Awards’ can be entered by the CEO, Chairman or President of companies.

As a guide for your submission, the weighting that will be considered by the judges are:

  • Financial – 15%
  • Innovation – 20%
  • Leadership – 40%
  • Achievements – 15%
  • Industry involvement/engagement – 10%

2) Lifetime Achievement Award

The Award recognises an individual that has made a significant, sustained and exceptional contribution to the betterment of consultancy and engineering over the course of their career as a chief executive.

Criteria

The Award is judged by a panel of experts across multiple fields both inside and outside that of the industry. This allows them to judge entrants from a variety of viewpoints on achievements and engagement.

  • Demonstrate a considerable contribution to industry over their career
  • The candidate can still be actively working within the industry or can have retired within the last five years
  • Must have at least 20 years’ industry experience

3) Sterling Award

The ‘Sterling CEO of the Year Award’ marks the development of the next generation of CEOs within the industry.

Candidates will be assessed on:

  • Companies’ financial performance
  • Skills of innovation and creativity within the business
  • Demonstration of leadership qualities
  • Contribution to the wider industry and society
  • Wider achievements and industry recognition

Criteria 

  • To enter this Award, the candidate must have been in his role for a maximum period of one year.

The Awards are judged by a panel of experts and reviews all aspects of business operations, achievements and engagement.
